Community Development Officer – Perth

Indigenous Community Volunteers (ICV) is a registered not for profit organisation that promotes the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We are ‘closing the gap’ on Indigenous disadvantage through community development and capacity building projects.
We currently have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an enthusiastic Community Development Officer to join our team in Perth. The total remuneration package for this position is approximately $60,000.
Applicants should have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Indigenous and non-Indigenous people, be flexible and have excellent organisational skills. Experience engaging with Indigenous communities on development projects is an advantage.
The ability to work independently and as part of team is important. This position will require regular travel to communities in the Goldfield, Ngaanyatjarra region and south west region of WA. Good knowledge working in remote communities is preferred.

Senior Community Development Officer – South East Region

We currently have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a suitably experienced Senior Community Development Officer to join our team. Reporting to a Melbourne-based Regional Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Greater Sydney and developing community development programs to address identified needs.
Applicants should have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and forge and maintain productive relationships with Indigenous and non-Indigenous stakeholders including communities, governments, non-government organisations, and corporate and professional partners.
Established networks within the Sydney Indigenous community is an advantage.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team is critical.
