What we do

Indigenous Community Volunteers (ICV) is a not for profit organisation providing Indigenous Australians with new skills. Communities, organisations or individuals identify their skill needs then ICV matches the projects with volunteers to address those needs. Volunteering with ICV is about sharing skills and knowledge and learning together. Skills transfer projects can lead to employment, self employment and community development.

Volunteer…do something different!

Imagine:

  • sharing your business skills with an up and coming fashion designer, enabling her to grow her label and obtain funding to break into overseas markets
  • teaching people how to establish a community garden in the beautiful Fitzroy Valley, so people no longer have to travel 140kms to the nearest town for fresh fruit and vegetables
  • travelling to NT to train staff in the running of an aged care facility so that Aboriginal Elders do not have to leave their communities.

What ever your skills are you can make a difference.
