Health and Early Childhood Student Internships

Our internships are for high achieving allied health and early childhood education students to undertake a university arranged placement in an organisation that serves Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

We are focusing on health and early childhood education because these are two key building blocks for addressing disadvantage and they are central to our model of Community Development.

We want our Interns to have a positive placement experience so that they can develop the confidence and skills to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Our approach will help to build a workforce that will be better prepared to tackle disadvantage as Interns move from the university into the world of work.

Our Internships provide practical support and financial assistance for up to 10 weeks. Placements can occur in any organisation, public or private, that provides allied health or early childhood education services to Indigenous people e.g. in Aboriginal Medical Services, Hospitals, Schools or Child care services etc.
