Volunteers
“Everyone I talk to who’s got time on their hands I say hey, you haven’t lived until you’ve done something like this.” – Ian Macklin.

You’ll be amazed at how your skills can be used. Imagine yourself writing grant proposals, improving computer systems, working on agricultural and environmental issues, or teaching people to sew. Any and all skills are valuable, whether they come from a profession, trade, or even a hobby.
Once you are registered with ICV, Indigenous communities can invite you to live and work with them on a short-term project.

Four wheel drive and mechanical/handyman aptitude for outstations on Gulf of Carpentaria Single or a couple with some mechanical/handyman skills and four wheel driving skills, don’t mind camping out in hot, humid, even rainy weather, easy to get on with – then this could be a project to remember. Start mid November for a month with possible follow up projects next year after the wet season dies down. If couple, prefer one person with some office and computer skills. mechanic-1258582208.jpg
