Volunteer: Deb

Deb has supported a number of communities with strategic planning projects, working alongside communities to develop plans and articulate their business goals.

“I have been able to support community organisations by taking the time to understand and clarify the goals of the community and then work with them to translate this into a practical strategic plan. I like this approach because it sees immediate results and generates very active involvement with the community.

I’ve learnt so much about the different communities and organisations that I’ve worked with. Each
community is different and diverse, and I have had the opportunity to learn about and begin to
understand the community and their goals.

Being able to support communities and see them go forward with what they want to do. I’ve been
privileged to have met so many amazing people, be welcomed into community, learn about culture,
and have a lot of fun along the way.”
